Available Credit: World Language 1.0 for 8-12th grade
In this class you will learn about both hearing and Deaf cultures: differences, history, purpose… You will see different qualities of ASL unknown to outsiders. Learning ASL can benefit hearing people via increased spelling skills, talking when speech is not easily assessable such as in crowds, increased skill reading body language, increased vocabulary, and the ability of conversing with other subcultures in the United States.
Total price for the course is $1100.00 per school year which includes the online access. Non-refundable deposit to hold position in class is $125.00. Parents and the Teacher Consultant will discuss additional classes and the monthly cost. A parent/teacher financial agreement is required to continue with the course and make monthly payments. Additional fees for 8th graders to receive High School credit apply.
