- The role of plants in ecosystems
- The biblical account of plant creation (Genesis)

Students will use books from their home or public library, trusted websites, and may benefit from supplemental materials such as those available at Answers in Genesis. A plant identification guide—either a book or online tool—is required.
Scheduled field trips to a farm or similar location (suggested for Week 33 or 35) offer real-world learning opportunities and can be rescheduled as needed.

- 1.0 credit = 150 hours
- 0.75 credit = 112 hours
- 0.5 credit = 75 hours
- 0.25 credit = 40 hours
At least one-third of the required time should involve hands-on or lab-based activities. For every two weeks of reading or research, students should complete one week of active gardening or fieldwork.
This course is perfect for students who learn best by doing and enjoy connecting faith with science through real-world application.
